State of the Park Update

Greetings NEP Families!

We are over the halfway mark of the season. We have voting that will take place at the park next week for those seeking positions on the NEP Board. If you are interested in becoming a board member please email your request to me at lrtii@cox.net. I will need your name, an email address as well as a good phone number and the position you’d like to run for. Please have all requests emailed to me no later than Saturday May 9th

All-Stars is just around the corner. This year we will be sending our T-ball All-Stars to the Gospel Project World Series. The 6 year old teams will go to the Gospel Projects Park in Milton, Florida and the 5 year old Teams will be playing at Bellview Ballpark. All of the Softball Girls will be playing in Tiger Point at their All-Star event and all of the Baseball All-Star teams will be playing in Gulf Breeze at the Nations Rec World Series.

All-Star teams will be picked in the same way for the entire park. The All-Star manager will be selected from each Division based on their season record. A meeting of all of the team managers from each division will meet together along with the Park President, League Commissioner and the Player Select Director and make selections for the All-Star Team. The All-Star teams will be a collaboration of the nominations from all the team managers, not just the All-Star Manager. I will be at each selection to ensure that the process is both fair and done per our Bi-Laws. Selections for All-Stars will not be done until after the season has ended, so please let your team manager know if your child will be available for playing in All-Stars or if your player will have other obligations. The dates for the T-Ball World Series for 5 year old are June 19th through June 23rd at Bellview Ballpark. The dates for the 6 year old T-Ball World Series are June 11th through June 16th at Gospel Projects Park in Milton, Florida. The dates for the Baseball All-Star teams, Coach Pitch through Juniors is June 24th through June 28th at Shoreline Park in Gulf Breeze, Florida. The Girls Softball All-Stars is May 29th through May 31st at Tiger Point Ballpark.
